*The images need to have symmetrical or geometrical patterns versus doors & windows, dots, and impossible to see blurbs. *At least some of the images should be larger images, after all, we can drag the image around to get to other areas. It would be nice to have at least 2 cursors "tip" options, preferably cursors of various art media, such as a colored pencil tip, a fountain pen tip, or a sharpie marker tip. *The cursor is way too large and bulky, especially when trying to fill in those teeny-tiny areas. Here's a few suggestions I'd like to see added
This third edition has much better colors but the pictures aren't that interesting, but I realize it's a work in progress figuring out what the Paint by Numbers fans like and dislike. (just look at the image shown of the lizard on #1) the second game had really ugly colors with no shade variations. In the first game, there were slightly different shades between areas that really made the images pop with vivid shades of orange, yellow, pink, purple, etc. I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE INTERESTING PICTURES BUT OTHERWISE ANOTHER GREAT PAINT BY NUMBERS GAME! The difference between Pixel Art and Paint by Numbers is that these games are more traditional with areas to color rather than square pixels. If you haven't tried this kind of game before and are into Zen, you may have found a new goodie! I am very happy with today's release, unlike my cats who prefer playing with my colored pencils and laying on my books! Oh well, can't please everyone!! There are many more available that Big Fish is very slow on delivering, including Pixel Art. Overall, I really like this game and will buy them all. We are seeing more complexity in Pixel Art and I am sure that Paint By Number will bring this about as well. Just as with Pixel Art, I prefer the more intricate busy designs with lots of colors involved. There are just a few changes I would like to see.the cursor needs to be a smaller different shape & more precise, we definitely need MORE images, larger would be nice and not so many teeny-tiny pieces which are a real pain sometimes. The challenge for me is mostly due to the too-big cursor. Paint By Numbers is fun, relaxing and challenging. Coloring is my favorite hobby and though I can't customize the pictures here, it is still quite enjoyable.
Unless a color is "muddy" I appreciate all tones and shades of the vast palette, IMO bright and bold is not always a good thing. I like the different shapes in the pictures and the images I have finished so far are nice and colorful. The game is working smoothly on my PC, no problems with the previous 2 releases. What better way to be creative, too, when I haven't one artistic brain cell working, by day's end. This game genre is my go-to when I am having my evening coffee and listening to the silence. Mostly Praises Here! I was delighted to see this new Paint By Numbers today and made a beeline to the Buy Button.
